I was with one leg in hell, I was also skeptic regarding the drug addiction treatment. The doctors and personnel of Dr. Vorobiev’s clinic created a new man out of me, one that thinks sanely. They gave me back a life force which I unfortunately started to lose. In half an hour I am going home and I’m laughing, I’m filled with self confidence and I’m ready to begin my fight for life. I started smoking grass in 7th grade. At that time and for several years after that was OK for me. When I was 16 I tried heroin. For two years after that I didn’t use it. When I was 18 I started using heroin regularly. Then hell began in the true sense of that word. I needed more and more. At the beginning it raised pleasure but at the same time  pulled the string around my neck. I heard about the clinic and I decided to be treated in the 22nd year of my life. Then, when I was deciding, I thought that I was betraying myself. But at the clinic, in Yoga House (the rehabilitation center in Belgrade) to be exact, I realized that I had betrayed myself by all the things I had done before and that my decision to get treated was the only right decision. I am a new man now and I am thankful to my doctors and most of the patients who are now my friends for being healthy again.

I started smoking grass in 8th grade. At that time I already started to steal and create problems in order to get money for drugs. In the 1st grade of high school I used heroin for the first time. Then hell began. I  used drugs till I was 21, I was treated several times and I tried to stay clean on my own but without success. I was in the monastery Crna Reka for 2 months and then I escaped. The minute I stepped into the Institute for drug addiction treatment in Draiser’s street with my mom I escaped. I went to private doctors for treatment in my town. This was all before I heard about Dr. Vorobiev’s clinic. Before I came to the clinic I felt like any other junky. I came to the clinic doped and I didn’t believe that they will help me but a miracle happened which was hard to imagine. On the second day of my treatment I already felt better, I didn’t feel crisis and every following day I continued to get better. After only one week I didn’t feel the need for heroin and I lost every memory of it. On the 10th day I received a test vaccine and I forgot everything regarding the heroin. I had a great time during the rehabilitation: attention and love of personnel, psychotherapy, yoga, field trips. At the beginning of rehabilitation I started using much less medicine. I don’t feel ill and I consider myself cured 101%, I’m full of energy and optimism, I have the will to live. Thanks to Dr. Vorobiev’s clinic I have been born again. My advice and plea to everyone who wants to get cured is to come to the clinic because this is really a salvation.

I’ve been consuming alcohol for almost seven years (with short breaks). When I didn’t have alcohol I would become irritated and get the shakes. I decided to go for treatment and with the help of personnel from Yoga House (the rehabilitation center in Belgrade) and other patients I achieved positive results very quickly and I’ll do my best to leave it that way because life without alcohol or other substances can be extremely beautiful. I’m leaving today with hope in a better tomorrow. You will be always with me in my prayers and memories.

I’m extremely grateful to the clinic and Yoga House (the rehabilitation center in Belgrade) for giving me new life, self-confidence, hope, belief, love and all that without which a person can’t live. To begin with, there are no words that can express my gratitude not only to the doctors, but also to all of the amazing people affiliated with this establishment. I came here with a bit of a closed mind because of the “secrecy” regarding what in the world these people are going to do to me! I did come willingly, though I was doubtful. In the past 3 weeks my mind has opened drastically to the point that I don’t care what or how these procedures are about or how they work. My only hope is that it continues its magnificent work and progresses nonetheless. I am beyond satisfied with EVERYTHING here. I believe the setup is great. The people are wonderful. (The staff of course.) My hope is that no one feels discouraged because of the actions of some patients. Please know that I will be eternally for a mind free of drugs – something that I could not find elsewhere.
The things I can recommend are things you already are aware of: more yoga activities, to close in the smoking area, and organized outings are fabulous because they are a great way to show patients that you can have fun and the drug free.
